    Potions

    Learn potion charges, automated thresholds, recovery scaling, cooldown, and upgrade costs.

    Each champion carries a life potion and a mana potion. Both are controlled by automation thresholds rather than manual hotkeys.

    Charges

    Each potion holds up to 3 charges. Every kill restores 0.34 charge to both potions, so roughly three kills recover one use.

    Charges may be fractional internally. The UI presents the useful charge state.

    Automatic use

    When life or mana falls below its configured threshold, the corresponding potion is used if at least one charge is available.

    Potion use has a shared 1-second cooldown. If both resources are below threshold, life is checked first.

    Recovery formula

    Level 1 potions restore 35% of the matching maximum resource:

    Rpotion=min(100%,35%+8%(Lpotion1))R_{\text{potion}} = \min\left( 100\%, 35\% + 8\%(L_{\text{potion}} - 1) \right)
    Potion levelResource restored
    135%
    243%
    351%
    567%
    891%
    10+100%

    Life recovery modifiers can scale the life potion. Mana potion recovery is based on the listed fraction of maximum mana.

    Upgrade cost

    The Potion Trader charges gold:

    Cupgrade=75×1.5Lcurrent1C_{\text{upgrade}} = \left\lceil 75 \times 1.5^{L_{\text{current}} - 1} \right\rceil

    Every upgrade raises the restored fraction until the 100% cap.

    Threshold strategy

    A high life threshold reacts earlier but consumes charges more aggressively. A low threshold conserves charges but may not respond before a large follow-up hit.

    Mana thresholds should leave enough room for the potion’s recovery. If a potion restores half of maximum mana, drinking at 80% wastes much of the charge.
